Preparation of Network Access
This server standardizes on the connection via a network as an access method to each component.
As each component of BMC/CSC modules and NW modules of the server defaults the operation as a DHCP
client, it needs to be connected to the DHCP server to be accessed.
2.1
Connection with DHCP server
After AC-ON, the management LAN port of each NW switch module is connected to the DHCP server from
which BMC/CSC modules and NW modules of the started server module obtains the IP address.
2.2
Checking chassis numbers and slot numbers
Link the chassis and the slot number using the attached utility.
Copy the server management utility under “util” folder in the attached DC2000 Utility Disk to a server
management terminal (64bit version Linux). Grant an appropriate owner authority to the copied server
management utility so that root users can execute it.
Example) To copy DX2000 Utility Disk (CD-ROM) under /mnt to /opt/mng directory of the server management
terminal
# mkdir /opt/mng
# cp /mnt/util/mng_* /opt/mng
# chown root:root /opt/mng/*
# chmod u+x /opt/mng/*
# cd /opt/mng
Move to the copies directory and start mng_util.
# ./mng_util

Search IP addresses of CSC modules and server modules and obtain various information.
When you search IP addresses, you can specify a MAC address, the range, a LAN segment of the management
terminal and a MAC address list.
