Configuration Utility
This chapter describes the basic functions of
IMAQconf
, the
configuration and diagnostic utility included with the 1408 device.
Introduction
IMAQconf
performs the following functions:
•
Configures the video parameters, which are automatically loaded
when the saved interface is loaded in NI-IMAQ
•
Displays a histograph, which acts as an aid to configuring your
board
•
Displays various look-up tables that let you implement small image
processing functions in the hardware
•
Performs snap and continuous video acquisition for diagnostics and
verification
•
Creates new camera files for non-standard cameras
•
Saves acquired images to a
bmp
format
Using IMAQconf
To configure your IMAQ device, make sure the device is properly
installed (see Chapter 2, Configuration and Installation) and then run
the
IMAQconf
configuration utility.
IMAQconf
is located under the
Windows 95/NT Start menu: Start»Program»NI-IMAQ»IMAQconf.
Whether you are capturing monochrome or StillColor images,
Figure 5-1 shows which configuration tabs are active for each mode.
The Basic and Advanced camera settings tabs are active for all modes.
