14. When you print using the media with print through, such as the fabric media, remove all the ink 

gutters. (VJ-1628TD: 7, VJ-2628TD: 11)

NOTE

• Removing ink gutter covers turns OFF the vacuum fan.

5.1.1.1.3 Vacuum Fan menu

• Remove the ink gutter covers only when using the media with print-through characteristics.

• When using the media with no print through, it is necessary to install the ink gutter covers.

• Insert the ink gutter cover in the direction as shown in the figure, until the clicking sound is 

heard.

• After installation, make sure that the ink gutter cover is not protruding from the top surface 

of the platen.

CAUTION

Pay careful attention to install the ink gutter cover to the correct position.
If the ink gutter cover protrudes from the top surface of the platen, it may damage 
the print head.
