7. When you print using the media with print through, such as the fabric media, remove all the ink 

gutters. (VJ-1628TD: 7, VJ-2628TD: 11)

NOTE

• Removing ink gutter covers turns OFF the vacuum fan.

5.1.1.1.3 Vacuum Fan menu

• Remove the ink gutter covers only when using the media with print-through characteristics.

• When using the media with no print through, it is necessary to install the ink gutter covers.

• Insert the ink gutter cover in the direction as shown in the figure, until the clicking sound is 

heard.

• After installation, make sure that the ink gutter cover is not protruding from the top surface of 

the platen.
