Installing NOx sensor (B88)
Note:
After an impact or knock, the sensor is
usually defective and must no longer be
used.
1.
Do not remove protective cap from thread
until directly before assembly.
Note:
Do not wipe off the thread grease from the
manufacturer. If necessary, coat thread
with high-temperature anti-corrosion
thread grease. Too much grease can con-
taminate the sensor during operation. Dis-
assemble and assemble sensor a maximum
of two times.
2.
Manually screw sensor into bore.
3.
Tighten nut (3) with torque wrench to specified tightening torque .

If necessary, roll up sensor cable to correct length and secure with cable ties.
5.
Screw on electronics box (1) at the eyelets.
6.
Connect connector (2) and engage it.
