6.9.1 Engine coolant – Level check

Preconditions

Engine is stopped and starting disabled.

☑

MTU Fluids and Lubricants Specifications (A001061/..) are available.

WARNING

Coolant is hot and under pressure.

Risk of injury and scalding!

• Let the engine cool down.
• Wear protective clothing, gloves, and goggles / safety mask.

Checking engine coolant level

1.

Read off system filling pressure for 100 kW/cylinder (→ Page 25) or for 110 kW/cylinder (→ Page 30) at
pressure gauge.

2.

If required, top up with treated engine coolant (→ Page 165) .
