6.9.5 Vent line of engine coolant circuit – Replacement

Preconditions

☑

Engine is stopped and starting disabled.

WARNING

Coolant is hot and under pressure.

Risk of injury and scalding!

• Let the engine cool down.
• Wear protective clothing, gloves, and goggles / safety mask.

Replacing coolant vent line

1.

Drain engine coolant (→ Page 163).

2.

Release union nuts (1) and (3).

3.

Remove coolant vent line (2).

4.

Install new coolant vent line (2).

5.

Fill with engine coolant (→ Page 165).
