To switch the control unit into standby
mode:
E
Press and hold the RUN/STOP button
for more than 1.5 seconds until a short
signal tone sounds twice and the dis-
play shows the rectangles running
from left to right.
If the control unit is not used for more
than 30 minutes in operating mode,
the control unit automatically switches
to standby mode.
6.2 Setting the Piercing Speed
CAUTION
Risk of Injury due to High Piercing Speed
If the piercing speed is too high, the skin
can be cut.

Select the piercing speed depending on
the skin condition of the client and suit-
able for the working speed.
The piercing speed is preset to SPEED
LEVEL 6. The piercing speed can be ad-
justed in 9 increments from SPEED
LEVEL 1 (lowest piercing speed) to
SPEED LEVEL 9 (highest piercing speed).
To set an appropriate piercing speed:

Ensure that control unit is switched on
(see 6.1 on page 36).

Press the UP button ( ) to decrease the
piercing speed.
E
Press the down button ( ) to decrease
the piercing speed.
6.3 Switching the handpiece on and off
CAUTION
Risk of injury when operating the hand-
piece
If an unsecured handpiece is switched on,
uncontrolled movement can occur due to
vibrations, which can cause personal in-
jury.

Hold the handpiece securely before
switching it on, or place it on the hand-
piece tray.
To switch on the handpiece:

Ensure that the power supply is estab-
lished (see chapter5.2 on page 34).

Ensure that control unit is switched on
(see chapter 6.1 on page 36).

Ensure that the handpiece is con-
nected correctly (see chapter 5.4 on
page 35).
