Configure the following settings:
a.
Name
: Enter a name for the profile.
b.
(Optional)
Description
: Enter a description for the profile.
4.
Select the pattern rule you want to configure by clicking the rule ID.
The [IPS Rule Details] screen will appear.
5.
Configure the following settings:
a.
Status
: Enable or disable the pattern rule.
b.
Actions
: Select the pattern rule’s default action
i.
Accept and Log
: When an intrusion is detected, the intrusion will be accepted and logged for
monitoring.
ii.
Deny and Log
: When an intrusion is detected, the intrusion will be rejected and logged for
monitoring.
6.
When you are done configuring the pattern rule, click
Save
.
