Decoders
Configures which bar code decoders are enabled or disabled. For best performance disable all unnecessary decoders.
Touch
Decoders
. The
Barcode input
screen appears. A check in the checkbox indicates that the decoder is
enabled. By default the most commonly used decoders are enabled (shown below with an asterisk). The supported
decoders are:

Use
Decode Params
to configure individual decoder parameters.

UPCA

Report Check Digit
- The check digit is the last character of the symbol used to verify the integrity of the data.
Enables or disables this option. A check in the checkbox indicates that the option is enabled (default - enabled).

Preamble
- Preamble characters are part of the UPC symbol consisting of Country Code and System
Character. Select the appropriate option to match the host system.
There are three options for transmitting a UPCA preamble:

Preamble None
- Transmit no preamble.
♦
Preamble Sys Char
- Transmit System Character only (default).
♦
Preamble Country and Sys Char
- Transmit System Character and Country Code (“0” for USA). Select
the appropriate option to match the host system.
