Before you start:

•

Clean the edge-sensor set (See Section 4.13.4)

•

Remove the electrical cabinet cover (See Section 4.2.12)

•

Connect the computer to the MFC (See Section 6.5).

•

Load some Test Sheets in feed bin 1.

 

Warning: 

Use extreme caution not to touch live circuits when the MFC is turned on.

4.5.18.1

Adjust the Skew Offset

The skew offset trim adjusts the angle of the crease from the lead-edge of the sheet. 
The skew-offset trim should be adjusted so that the crease is parallel to the lead-edge 
of the sheet. The DynaTilt mechanism operates on a central pivot point so that when a 
sheet is seen in the gathering area, the skew offset will affect the crease angle as 
shown (see Figure 4.60).

A (+) offset value will increase the 
distance from the LH side of the 
crease to the lead-edge.

A (-) offset value will reduce the 
distance from the LH side of the 
crease to the lead-edge.
