4. Service Procedures - Replace Components - Electrical Cabinet

4.12.4

Replace the High Power Stepper Drive PCB

The high power stepper PCB has two mode configuration switches. The switches must
be set specifically for the type of function that the stepper motor is used for.

Caution:

Always make a check that the position of the mode-configuration switches is

correct when you have replaced the high power stepper drive PCB (see Section
7.3.10).

Tools:

•

Anti-static wrist-band and lead

•

Screwdriver: Pozidriv No. 2.

Before you start:

•

Remove the electrical cabinet cover (See Section 4.2.6).

Disconnect the cable connectors
from the high-power stepper PCB.

Disconnect the AC power supply
wires from the high-power stepper
PCB.

Remove the four screws that
attach the high-power stepper PCB
to the electrical cabinet.

Lift the high-power stepper PCB
away from the electrical cabinet.

5

Install the replacement high-power
stepper PCB.

Attach the cable connectors to
the dual stepper PCB (see
Section 7.3.10).

•

Do a check of the mode
configuration switches and
adjust them as necessary (see
Section 7.3.10).

Replace the Low Power Stepper Drive PCB

The low power stepper PCB has two mode configuration switches. The switches must
be set specifically for the type of function that the stepper motor is used for.

Lift the dual stepper PCB away
from the electrical cabinet.

Install the replacement dual
stepper PCB.

Attach the cable connectors to
the dual stepper PCB (see
Section 7.3.11).

Do a check of the mode
configuration switches and
adjust them as necessary (see
