Naming Conventions for AutoSave Files
All AutoSave files use the same naming convention as specified in the
AutoSave settings. You can use the protocol name or assign a name. The
default naming convention is
Protocol.Date.Time.pda
. To change the
default name, click in the
Assigned Name
field and type a new name.
If you select both of the
Append Date
and
Append Time
check boxes,
the date and time of the run are added to the file name. We highly
recommend that you use the
Append Date
and
Append Time
settings to
avoid overwriting previous files.
AutoSave File Formats
You can save files in the following formats: SoftMax Pro (.pda), XML file
(.xml), or a tab-delimited text file (.txt). Select the appropriate file format
from the Format list.
