Preparing for Storage
To turn off the instrument
Use this procedure for prolonged inactivity. For regular use, the
automatic shutdown feature manages power, screen, motors, and valves.

Make sure that the wash head remains installed throughout the
procedure.
2.
Make sure that the waste tubing is correctly installed with either
a waste bottle or drain. See
3.
On the
Main
tab, touch
Rinse
. Use AquaMax Sterilant, DI water,
or your usual rinsing agent.
4.
On the
Options
tab, touch
Purge
.
5.
Make sure that the
Prime
program specifies
Prompt for the Inlet
option. See
6.
Replace each reagent bottle with an empty bottle. See
connect a reagent bottle on page 21
.
7.
On the
Main
tab, touch
Prime
and specify the inlet with the
empty bottle. Repeat this step two more times.
8.
When the fluid channels have been cleaned and emptied,
remove the wash head before turning off the power. See
prepare the wash head for storage on page 94
.
9.
On the back of the instrument, switch the power switch to the
Off
position.
Note:
If you do not have enough empty bottles, you can
perform
separately for each inlet in turn.
