Moving an AquaMax

®

 Microplate Washer

Make sure that the new location meets the specifications as described in 

Setting Up the Instrument on page 21

.

To move an AquaMax

®

 Microplate Washer to another location

1.

Remove any microplate from the instrument. 

2.

For extended storage, follow the procedures in 

Purging the 

Instrument on page 85

 to remove all reagents from the system. If 

the instrument will be used immediately after the move, a 

Purge

 

cycle is sufficient. 

3.

Remove any installed wash head.

4.

Disconnect all source and waste bottles and tubing.

5.

Turn off the power switch and unplug the power cord.

6.

Tilt the microplate washer to drain any liquid that might have 
spilled during microplate washer operation.

7.

Empty the waste reservoir. 

Note: 

Depending on the distance that you are moving the instrument, 

you might want to repackage it in its original shipping packaging to 
secure the Z and Y axis motion stages.

If you do not have the shipping container for the AquaMax Microplate 
Washer, please contact Technical Support to obtain a replacement 
container.
