- Set an operational <REGIME> for the manipulator
(<IMMERSION> or
<DIPPING>). To change the regime, touch the screen at the spot of the needed parameter.
Regime <IMMERSION>. The regime, in which a rack with slides is immersed into the
reagent and is kept in it until the end of a technological operation.
Regime <DIPPING>. The regime, in which a rack is dipped time after time into the
trough with reagent without delays. The <DIPPING> regime requires setting the number of
dipping cycles from 1 to 99, and not the time of processing. When the number of cycles is
set to «1», the rack dips into the trough and rises immediately.
-
Set the value of the parameter <AGITATION>.
The parameter <AGITATION> is programmed only for the regime <IMMERSION>. It
defines the period of repetition of up-and-down movements of a rack without its full raising
from the reagent. <AGITATION> lets the reagent mix and accelerates performing of a
technological operation. The value of the parameter <AGITATION> is set within the interval
0-99 sec. At the value <00> up-and-down movements are not performed. The regime with
the parameter value 00 is applied, when mixing of reagent is undesirable, e.g., when using
Giemsa working solution which is prone to sediment. To program, touch the screen at the
spot of the needed parameter and enter the required values with the screen digital keyboard.
-
Set the value of the parameter <TIME>.
This parameter defines the duration of performing of a technological operation. To
program, touch the screen at the spot of the needed parameter and enter the required values
with the screen digital keyboard.
Parameters of previously loaded programs are changeable in the same way. To finish
editing, press the button ENTER, and the Stainer will go to the screen of PIN (
personal
identification number)
entering.
PIN is useful to prevent
unauthorized program editing. It is possible to choose any 3-
digit PIN in the range 000-999. After entering a NEW PIN,
press the button ENTER, and the
Stainer will return to the main menu.
