OPERATION MODE
This item allows you to set the operation mode of the parallel port.
Table 4-5 lists the different operation modes.

This item becomes active only if you select
Extended Capabilities
Port (ECP)
for the operation mode parameter. It allows you to select
DMA channel 1 or DMA channel 3 depending on the available system
resource.

Onboard PS/2 Mouse (IRQ12)
This parameter enables or disables the onboard PS/2 mouse. When
set to
Enabled
, it allows you to use the onboard PS/2 mouse
assigned with IRQ12. When set to
Disabled
, it deactivates the
mouse and frees IRQ12 for the use of other devices.
