Installing the Printer Driver Under
Windows 95/98

This section provides information on installing the printer driver under
Windows 95/98. It also tells you how to uninstall the printer driver
when necessary.

We recommend that the printer driver be installed using the CD-ROM’s
installer. If the driver is installed using plug-and-play, the

Driver

directory on the CD-ROM must be specified.

Note

To Install the Printer Driver Using the Installer
(Auto Run)

Turn on your computer and start up Windows 95 or Windows 98.

Insert the

Printer Driver

CD-ROM into your computer’s CD-

ROM drive.

The opening screen is automatically displayed. Click on the

PCL

Driver

menu to start the installer.

• When the printer driver is installed using plug-and-play, the Status

Display, the Control Panel, the uninstall.exe file, and the Driver Help
will not be installed.
