This chapter explains how to change the settings of the Network Card’s
jumper switch settings.
Normally, the Network Card automatically makes network
configuration settings, so you do not need to change jumper switch
settings. There may be certain situations, however, where it becomes
necessary to change jumper switch settings.
Important!
Be sure to unplug the printer from its power outlet before starting
work. For full details on handing the Network Card, see the Quick
Guide (Installing the Network Card) that comes with the Network
Card.
• Jumper switch settings are available on the PagePro 4100E printer only.
You cannot use this procedure on the PagePro 4100GN printer. The
procedure described in this chapter is applicable to the PagePro 4100E
only.
• Special care is required when handling the Network Card.
The Network Card is designed to protect components from electrostatic
discharge during normal operation. Be sure to take proper electrostatic
protection measures whenever handling the Network Card.
