Insert the new DIMM straight down
into the DIMM connector until the
latches snap into the locked position.
Observe the keyed side of the DIMM
to align it with the connector. If you
cannot snap the DIMM into place, do
not force it. Reposition it, making sure
that the bottom of the DIMM is seated
completely in the connector. When
installed properly, the DIMM stands
upright firmly in place.
6
Reinstall the rear panel of the printer.
Align the panel and tighten the nine screws that you loosened in Step 2.
Then replace the two screws removed in Step 3.
7
Reconnect all interface cables.
8
Reconnect the power cord, and turn on the printer.
In compliance with UL guidelines, “The appliance inlet is considered to
be the main disconnect device.”
9
Print a configuration page from the printer controller (Print Menu/Configu-
ration Page) or use PageScope Light to verify that the total size of the
RAM installed in your printer is listed.
Installed Memory is included in the Printer Information section of the
Configuration Page and on PageScope Light’s Configuration section.
