Choosing a standard setting
The digital surround controller provides 39 alternative standard
settings, called Types, which configure all aspects of the 561
into the most commonly needed configurations. In addition, any
User Types you create using the Meridian Configuration
program are also available.
Choosing one of the Types overrides any other configuration you
may have performed, and so can be used to reset the
configuration of the unit.
If your digital surround controller is connected to a television or
monitor, the on-screen display also provides additional text
explaining what to do. For information about setting up the on-
screen display refer to

The Type you choose depends on the following aspects of your
system:

The number of speakers in your system.
❍
Whether your system includes a subwoofer.
❍
Whether the speakers are analogue or digital.
