Dimensions and weights
On no account should modifications be made to the
vehicle width, vehicle height or vehicle length if they
exceed the threshold values specified in the current
version of the Body & Equipment Guideline.
Please refer to the 2D drawings and technical data on
the website for Metris upfitters (see chapter 1.1 “Over-
view” (
Page 4)) and to the technical threshold
values (see chapter 5 “Technical threshold values for
planning” (
Page 47)) for all dimension and weight
specifications.
These refer to vehicles equipped as standard - special
equipment is not taken into account.
Weight tolerances of up to +5 % in production must be
taken into consideration.
The gross axle weight rating (GAWR) and gross vehicle
weight rating (GVWR) may not be exceeded. Infor-
mation on the permissible axle load and permissible
vehicle weight can be found in section 5 “Technical
threshold values for planning” (

WARNING
Make sure that you do not exceed the GAWR. If the
GAWR are exceeded, this can impair the functional-
ity of the ESP
®
system. If GAWR and/or GVWR are
exceeded, this has a significant effect on driving
stability and handling characteristics and can result
in serious injury or death.
Information on weight specifications can be obtained
from UPFITTER MANAGEMENT VANS (see chapter
1.6 “Contact” (
Page 9)). All bodies must comply
with the individual GAWR and GVWR.
