Spare Parts Service
Engine Oil Change and Filter Change
To be carried out every 4,000 miles
(7,000 km), but at least tw ice a year (in
spring and fall).
Under severe operating c o n d ition s or
if diesel fuels with high su lp h ur
content (in excess of 0.5 % by weight)
are used, the oil should be changed
every 2,000 miles (3,500 km). It is not
m andatory to change the filte r at this
oil change.
For regular oil level checks, refer to
“ C hecking Fuels, C oolants,
Lubricants, etc.” .
Automatic-Transmission —
Fluid and Filter Change
To be ca rrie d out every 37,500 m iles
(60,000 km ) a cco rd in g to the
m aintenance booklet.
U nder severe o perating conditions,
have the a utom atic transm ission fluid
changed every 12,500 miles
(20,000 km ) w ith o u t filte r change.

m aintenance and re p a ir w ork. In
a ddition, d epots are provided all over
the globe intended to ensure the rapid
supply of MERCEDES-BENZ original
spare parts.
M ore than 200,000 d iffe re n t spare
parts, even fo r ra ther old vehicle
m odels, are fu rth e rm o re stocked in
the central plant w arehouses.

efficiency and re lia b ility as well as
o p tim u m retention of the vehicle value
when MERCEDES-BENZ original
spare parts are installed, as they are
sub je cte d to m ost severe quality
inspections. Each part has been
sp e cifica lly developed, m anufactured
or selected fo r and adapted to
MERCEDES-BENZ vehicles. For this
reason, only MERCEDES-BENZ
o riginal spare parts should be
installed.
