O peration of belts with inertia reel:
The safety belt in e rtia reel stops the
belt fro m unw inding fu rth e r in case of
vehicle deceleration in any d ire ctio n
o r if the belt is pulled out quickly.
Functional test:
The locking fu n ctio n of the inertia reel
can be tested by braking, driving
around a bend or by pulling the belt
out quickly.
Fastening of rear center belt
(w ithout inertia reel):
• Pull belt across the lap. It m ust not
be tw isted and m ust be tight.
• Press tongue into buckle and allow
to engage audibly.
A d ju stm e n t of rear center seat belt:
To lengthen, tu rn belt buckle (on LH
side of belt) to be at rig h t angles to the
belt and pull the tongue. To shorten,
pull loose end of belt.
Note:
No safety belt can be used fo r m ore
than one person. Belts are not
intended fo r children.
A n ch o ring points fo r a child seat are
provided.
A fte r an accident, inspect the safety
belts and replace them , if required.
The belt anchors in the vehicle should
also be checked.
Belt w ebbing m ust not be routed via
sharp edges.
No m o d ifica tio n s w hich may affect the
efficiency of the belts m ust be made.
