Tape Playback
(M exico Cassette M odel)
This type of radio provides fo r the
playback of p re re co rd e d stereo
m usic through the unique
c o m bination of all the features of an
autom atic signalseeking stereo radio
with a tape player.
To start playback, insert stereo
cassette through the sw ing-aw ay d o o r
of the cassette slot and depress until
the mechanism engages. (Note: Full
reel on the rig h t tape side of cassette
first.) The cassette w ill be a u to m a ti
cally released when the tape reaches
its end. To play the o ther side, re
move the cassette fro m the radio,
tu rn it upside dow n and reinsert
th ro u g h the slot. To m anually e je ct the
cassette, push the release bar (7).
W hen the cassette is ejected, the unit
w ill a u to m a tica lly sw itch to radio
reception. For fast fo rw a rd o r rew ind
of the tape, depress button 8 o r 9
past po in t of resistance. To stop tape
w inding, depress o pposing button to
point of resistance only.
Care of the Tape Player
Use only good quality cassettes with a
m axim um playing tim e of 45 m inutes
per side (C 90). “ U nwound ” tapes can
be fixed by rew inding either reel with a
pencil inserted in its hub. The p ick-up
head and ro lle r should be cleaned
o ccasionally to m aintain the original
high q uality sound re p ro d uctio n .
