Car Wash
Before washing y o u r vehicle, rem ove
insect residues. The car should not be
washed in the sun.
Thoroughly spray the car with a
diffused je t of water. D irect only a very
weak spray to w a rd s the ventilation
intake. Use plenty of water and rinse
the sponge and cham ois frequently.
Rinse with clear w ater and th o ro u g h ly
w ipe d ry with a cham ois.
If the vehicle has been run th ro u g h an
autom atic car wash — in pa rticu la r
one of the o ld e r installations — rew ipe
the recessed sections pro vid e d in the
tail lights (for im proved prevention of
soiling) if necessary. No solvents
(fuels, thinners etc.) m ust be used.
In the winter, th o ro u g h ly rem ove all
traces of road salt as soon as
possible.
When washing the car underbody, do
not fo rg e t to clean the inner sides of
the wheels.
Tar Stains
Q uickly rem ove ta r stains before they
d ry and becom e m ore d iffic u lt to
rem ove.
Window Cleaning
Use a w indow cleaning solution on
very d irty or o il-sta in e d window s.
Clean w ind sh ie ld w ip e r blades with a
clean cloth and w ashing solution.
Replace blades once or tw ice a year.
Plastic (Vinyl), Rubber Parts
and Upholstery M B-Tex
Do not use oil or wax on these parts.
Seat Belts
The w ebbing m ust not be treated with
chem ical cleaning agents. Use only
clear, lukew arm w ater an soap. Do not
d ry the w ebbing at te m p e ra tu re s
above 176° F (80° C) or in d ire ct
sunlight. Never bleach o r re-dye the
w ebbing.
Steering Wheel and Selector Lever
Use a gentle dish-w ashing detergent
or m ild d e te rg e n t fo r delicate fabrics
as a w ashing solution. W ipe w ith a
cloth m oistened in lukew arm solution.
Do not use scouring agents.
Upholstery
Leather: W ipe leather upholstery with
a da m p cloth and d ry thoroughly.
Exercise p a rticu la r care when
cleaning p e rfo ra te d leather as its
un d e rsid e should not becom e wet.
