- REPLACING CENTRAL BOX DRIVE AND
TRANSMISSION BOXES
The gimbal, like any other transmission element, suffers mechanical wear over time.In Cardan there
are looseness between the crosshead and the bushing as well as tube lacquering.
a) Remove the bolt (3) and remove the shield (4), then remove the two screws (3) and remove the
shield (5) to gain access to the main rotor drive gimbal.
b) Tighten the locking pins (1), remove the center
housing (2) along with the two cardan shafts and
replace.
c) Replace guards (4) and (5).

Replacing the Fuse
The ATMF MENTA 3.2 is protected against overloads caused by the front screenout rollers, Reels or
feeders being jammed due to wear of their tooth.
This protection is provided by the Fuse Pins located on the platform hub gear and pinion hub gear.
Solve the causes of the lock first and then replace the Fuse Pin.

Remove the EMC protection hood.
Remove counter pin (1).
b) Remove the flat flange (2).
Remove gear (3).
Using a punch and hammer remove the broken fuse
pin from both the gear and fuse hub.
F) Replace the fuse pin (4) with another original.
NOTE:
For safety reasons, all maintenance
should always be performed with the
equipment switched off.
