To make the chassis rack-mounting easier and accurate, Mellanox provides a special rack mount-
ing carton template that can be placed on the rack and be used as a guide prior to mounting the
chassis.
To install the Vantage 8500 chassis in the rack:
1. Lift the chassis and place it on the rails, with the front of the chassis towards you as shown, and then
slide the chassis into place.
Make sure that the grounding stud is installed prior to the chassis installation.
Due to its weight, a chassis that already contains plug-in modules (non-empty
chassis) should be installed using lifting equipment and /or sufficient people.
Use enough people to safely lift this product.
