3.5.3
Manufacturer Specific Timing Test (Advanced Automated Testing)
Tests should be conducted in accordance with the
manufacturer’s test specifications. Following the
Timing Test setup described in 3.5.2, returning to the Timing Test Screen the user will see something
similar to the following figure. Based upon the breaker selected only the appropriate tests will be
presented, Long Time, Short Time, Instantaneous, Ground Fault. If the breaker selected does not have a
Short Time and/or Ground Fault (as in the following example) only the Long Time and Instantaneous trip
curves will be presented.

Mult (Multiple)

This is the multiple of the Pickup or Tap value that will be applied to the device under
test under test. The user is free to change the values to any desired multiple(s). The default test multiple
is 3. Up to 3 test points maybe defined. To access the other two test multiples, press or click on the
symbol in the
Timing
window. The default Multiples 3, 5, and 7 will appear.
Timing Test
1. Press or click on the Advanced Test
button, and select the desired Manufacturer Specific
breaker to be tested by selecting from the available curves. Enter any necessary settings as
described above in section 3.5.2.
