4. Use the indicators in the measurement screen to determine which of the two
sensors is closer to the source of the partial discharges.
The black bar deflects in the direction of the sensor that is closer to the
weak point
. In the example, the weak point is considerably closer to the
external sensor.
Time of flight measurement only takes place, if the values exceed
10 dBµV. Otherwise, no direction cannot be indicated.
The
internal
and
external
buttons can be used to switch over between the
current measured value display of the two sensors during the measurement.
5. If applicable, change the position of the sensors to move closer to the weak
point. Once a bar deflection is barely noticeable, then the weak point is likely to
be exactly between the two sensors.
6. You can switch to a second measurement screen which shows the course of the
last 10 measurements using the
button.
This screen allows you to monitor precisely how repositioning the sensors
affects the measured levels.
