Procedure
The HFCT sensor provided must be placed around the carry
handle of the demonstrator box in HFCT mode in order to be able
to measure the pulses generated.
The front end of the PD Scan must be held against the contact
surface marked with
TEV 1
in TEV mode in order to be able to
measure the pulses generated.
When performing the “time of flight” comparative measurement,
the front end of the PD Scan must be held against the
TEV 1
contact surface and the external TEV sensor against the
TEV 2
contact surface.
Since a bar deflection only takes place above 10 dB, the setting
High
must be selected using the
Lev
button in this operating
mode!
The dependency of the propagation time on distance (“time of
flight”) can be demonstrated by alternately removing the sensors
from the contact surface.
