In order to update the firmware for the PD Scan, you will require the PDSCANUBL
software, which can be found on the USB stick provided. Your sales partner will be
happy to provide you with the latest firmware files upon request. The latest version of
the firmware can be downloaded at any time from the PD Scan website (section
"Software and firmware").
To update the firmware, proceed as follows:
1. Make sure that there is no USB connection, and switch the PD Scan off.
2. Press and hold the middle button.
3. Also press the left button.
4. Let go of the left button again a few moments later.
5. Also let go of the middle button. A few seconds later, the
Bootloader
message
should appear in the display.
6. Start the PDSCANUBL software on your PC by double clicking
pdscanubl.exe
.
7. Connect the PD Scan to the PC using the USB cable provided
only now
.
8. Click
Connect
in the PDSCANUBL software. The
Device connected
message
should appear just afterwards. Otherwise, please repeat the procedure from the
start and make sure that the
Bootloader
message appears in the display after it
starts.
9. Click on
Load Hex File
in the PDSCANUBL software, and select the firmware
file.
10. Click on
Program
in the PDSCANUBL software and wait until the firmware has
been transferred. The installation is complete. The USB cable can be unplugged
and the PD Scan can be restarted.
