To prevent incorrect measurements, a function test is recommended before each use.
1. Start the TEV measurement (
–> ).
2. Press the front ends of the PD Scan and of the function tester together.
3. Press the push-button on the function tester to generate a PD-like signal.
4. Read the measurement result on the display. A level between 18 … 23 dB
should be reached. This provides proof of proper function.
If, despite pressing the push-button, no PD level can be measured and/or the LED in the
push-button does not light up, then this can most likely be attributed to a discharged
battery (see page 62).
