To replace or to test the external battery charger, remove the column cover. For further help, please see
Chapter V. „ Removing the Column Cover
“ .
Do as follows:
First, loosen the wires of the battery charger. Retrace the red and
the black cable to the connection and loosen it.
Keep the respective colours and plug-in locations in mind,
to prevent a mix up.
Now take the cable off the battery charger.
In order to remove the external battery charger from the base
plate, loosen the handle for the cables next to it. To do so,
remove the two fastening screws.
Now, take the battery charger off the base plate. To prevent
the cables from getting locked inside, shift the battery charger
to the side.
To install the new charger, follow the above mentioned steps
in reverse order.
