is an
Option
that allows setting the pump for an infusion, then delaying the start for a programmed
interval of time.
•
The pump
will automatically start
an infusion at the end of the standby.

Programming Delayed Start
1.
When the pump is paused at the B
EGIN
I
NFUSION
screen, pres the
Options
button to find the D
ELAYED
S
TART
utility.
2.
Select Delayed Start mode by pressing its number button.
3.
Set Delayed Start time in hours & minutes. The maximum delayed start setting is 6 hours. The default
delayed start time is 1:00 Hr.
4.
When ready, press the
Enter
button to accept the Delayed Start setting and go to the B
EGIN
I
NFUSION
screen.
5.
The Delayed Start timer then appears in the upper right corner onscreen “
counting down
”. The Distracted
user alarm is disabled for this interval. Delayed Start continues until timer has counted to zero. You can
discontinue Delayed Start mode at any time, by pressing the
Start
button, or by setting Delayed Start to
zero.
6.
When the counter reaches zero, the pump begins the infusion.
