S
TANDBY
is an
Option
that allows setting the pump for an infusion, then delaying advisory alarms for a programmed
interval of time.
•
The pump
does not automatically start
an infusion at the end of the standby.
•
Instead, the pump triggers an alarm at the end of the standby period to tell you to either
Start
or
Cancel
the
infusion.

option can be enabled / disabled through custom configuration
Programming Standby
1.
When the pump is paused at the B
EGIN
I
NFUSION
screen, press the
Options
button to find the S
TANDBY
utility.
2.
Select Standby mode by pressing its number button.
3.
Set standby time in hours & minutes. The maximum Standby setting is 24 hours. The default standby time
is 1:00 Hr.
4.
When ready, press the
Enter
button to accept the standby setting and go to the B
EGIN
I
NFUSION
screen.
5.
The standby timer then appears in the upper left corner onscreen “counting down”. The Distracted user
alarm is disabled for this interval. Standby continues until timer has counted to zero. You can discontinue
standby mode at any time, by pressing the
Start
button, or by setting standby to zero.
6.
When the counter reaches zero, the pump sounds an alarm reminding you to begin the infusion.
