A
Volume Limit
is an
Option
available for most delivery modes (except
volume/time
and
intermittent volume/time
).
On reaching the preset volume limit, the pump stops – or changes to KVO if a keep vein open rate has been
programmed.
Volume limit is based on the quantity of programmed volume delivered.

If
Volume Limit Dosing
is not currently available as a dosing option, you can enable it through
custom pump configuration.
Setting Volume Limit
You can set a volume limit either before starting an infusion, or by pausing the pump during an infusion. Volume
limit is found on the O
PTIONS
screen, which you select from the B
EGIN
I
NFUSION
screen.
1.
When pump is paused, press the
Options
button to find the volume limit feature.

Press the
number
button for volume limit to call the E

V
OLUME
L
IMIT
screen.
Disable – turns Volume Limit OFF.

LEAR
– deletes an entry. Backspace – erases a character.

Use the
number
buttons to set the volume limit. Volume is limited to the maximum fill volume for the
current syringe size, and minimum volume is 1/100th the syringe size.

When ready, press the
Enter
button to accept the settings and call the B
EGIN
I
NFUSION
screen.
5.
With the volume limit set, the pump pauses at the B
EGIN
I
NFUSION
screen. The volume limit setting now
appears on the display. Program Volume Delivered (PVD) will appear on the screen directly above the V
LIMIT.
