LONG FLUSH FUNCTION
• In endodontic root canal therapy, never
operate the files outside of the root
canal to prevent them from breaking.
To prevent breakages, create a smooth
path with a manual endo file and plan
the most direct possible path of access
to minimise any bending of the insert.
Make delicate movements. Examine
the file often for signs of wear. If the file
breaks inside the canal, avoid contact
between the instrument and the broken
file to stop it from being pushed further
it. Do not apply pressure on the insert in
an axial direction.
6 LONG FLUSH FUNCTION
The Long
FLUSH
function allows a cleaning cycle to be run on the irrigation circuit.
Fill the tank with water, preferably
demineralised water. Connect the tank
to the appliance;

Place the handpiece, with or without
insert, above a container for the liquid
that will be released during the cleaning
cycle;
NOTE: With handpiece put back,
the
FLUSH
cycle will not start. For
information, refer to Chapter 12.1 on
page 70 .

To enter the cleaning mode (LONG
FLUSH) press the button FLUSH on the
touch keyboard twice. The water and
power flow rate control will illuminate.
The button FLUSH will flash;
NOTE: It is possible to exit from the
cleaning mode at any time by pressing
again the button
FLUSH

will be active again by returning the last
configuration used;
