Slide the top cover slightly backwards and then lift it out

Step 3

Remove two screws (indicated by arrows in the drawing) holding
down the the HDD bracket.

Step 4

Note that the other side (closer to the front face of the DVR) of the
bracket is supported by grooved corners. Slide the bracket slightly
backwards (away from the supports) and then lift it out.
