At a glance – Front Cabin
Quick reference COMAND
When setting the volume, the system au-
tomatically stores the setting for the cur-
rently active operating mode. The
volume of voice announcements can be
adjusted during an announcement on
the front cabin control unit.
The system stores the volume settings
when it is switched OFF. After switching
the system back on again, the volume
may be lower than at the time when the
system was switched OFF.
The volume is lower if
the system was OFF for longer than
15 minutes, or if
at switch-OFF the volume had been
set on a value outside a certain range.

Automatic volume control
The automatic volume control feature
adjusts the sound volume depending on
the interior ambient noises and other pa-
rameters (e.g. windows open or closed).

be adjusted separately.
