Quick reference
Mute function
COMAND can be muted either on the
front cabin control unit or on one of the
rear cabin control units.
Muting on the front cabin control unit
See "Mute function" ( page 56).
Muting on a rear cabin control unit
Press key

on the remote con-
trol.
COMAND switches the Mute function
ON or OFF.
Symbol

is displayed while the
mute function is switched ON.
The following operation modes can be
selected from the front cabin control
unit:
Audio
(Radio, CD, MP3 and AUX mode),
Satellite radio,
Navigation,
Telephone, or
Service.
The following operation modes can be
selected from a rear cabin control unit:
Audio
(Radio, CD, AUX1, and AUX2 mode),
Video
(TV, DVD),
Navigation,
Telephone,
Service.
Other control units could be affected
when selecting certain operation modes.
Vehicles without partition
Generally, the currently selected Audio
or Video operation mode is activated. If
selection is made on the front cabin con-
trol unit, the rear cabin control units
change to the Audio/Video basic menu.
Front sound active
is indicated in the
display’s status bar.
