The amount of ballast that should be applied according to the
formula is the minimum required for circulation on the road. If for
reasons of tractor performance or to improve the set-up of the
equipment during operation it is thought necessary to raise these
values, please refer to the registration document of the tractor to
check its limits.
When the formula for calculating the ballast gives a negative result
it will not be necessary to add any weight. In any case, as long as
the limits of the tractor are respected, a suitable quantity of weights
may be applied in order to ensure greater stability during travel.

3.4 REGULATIONS
3.4.1 MOUNTED MACHINE
The adjustments for the setting up of the machine must be perfor-
med on a uniform surface. It is necessary to insure the parallelism
between the frame of the car and the ground, see Fig. 16.
3.4.2 ADJUSTMENT OF THE ROLLER
To ensure the perfect parallelism of the machine at work it is ne-
cessary to set the working depth on rear rollers, and for doing this
you just have to act on the hydraulic system (Fig. 14).
The maximum depth of the equipment is 10 cm.
ATTENTION
Read and observe the general safety ragulations!
In order to adjust the working depth lift the harrow from ground
level only with a few centimeters!
Pay very much attention in the area of the rolls and of the
operating disks.
The back roll, besides adjusting the work depth, also performs a
uniformization of the worked land.
ATTENTION
-
Read and observe the general safety ragulations.
- Only make such adjustments with the disc harrow fully re-
sting on the ground!
The bracket connecting the disc harrow roller can be adjusted in
two different ways. The roller will be mounted in a farther position,

3.5 WORKING SPEED
To improve the working and keep more waste in the most superficial
layer of soil you must work at a high speed, 12 to 20km / h consistent
with the condition of the road.
3.6 RESTING POSITION
After use, the machinery must be placed in a safe, hazard-free
place.
If the machinery is not used for prolonged periods, all of the parts
subject to wear and the bushings of the foldable parts and hte sha-
res must be kept wll lubricated. A brief check of nuts and bolts and a
visual inspection of the parts subject to wear is also recommended.
Parking of the machinery is an extremely dangerous operation
and must be performed by one operator only, as follows:
- lower the tractor lifting unit;
- lower the equipment by resting it on the ground,
-
disconnect the equipment from the vehicle.
