3.0 RULES OF USE

To obtain the best performance from the equipment, carefully

follow what is set out below.

ATTENTION

The following maintenance, adjustment, and work preparation

operations must be performed with the tractor off and locked

firmly in position with the key removed from the dashboard

and the equipment positioned on the ground.

3.1 ATTACHMENT AND DETACHMENT OF THE EQUIPMENT

3.1.1 ATTACHMENT OF THE EQUIPMENT

DANGER

The attachment to the tractor is a very dangerous phase, for

this reason, it shall be done by one operator only. Be very

careful in following the instructions for the whole operation.

Do not stand on the machine and on the rear wheels. Perform

all operations from the external perimeter of the equipment.

ATTENTION! LOSS OF EQUIPMENT ON THE ROAD AND OF VEHICLE

CONTROL, DEATH OR SERIOUS INJURIES FOR THE DRIVER AND

THE PEOPLE IN THE VICINITY.

Before connecting the equipment to the tractor, and in any

case within 8 hours of continuous use, check the state of wear

and the integrity of the tractor connecting elements and of the

structural elements. The machine cannot be used if anomalies

are noted. Contact your dealer immediately.

The equipment may be attached to any tractor fitted out with a

threepoint universal hitch. The correct position of the tractor/discs

is determined by placing the equipment on a horizontal surface.

1)  Hook the lifter bars on the preset pins (1 fig. 7). Block with the

snap split pins.

2)  Attach the chains of the tractor lifting bars. Using the tie rods

provided, secure the bars parallel to the tractor. This latter

precaution must be taken to safeguard against the equipment

moving horizontally.

3)  Connect the third upper point (2 fig. 7); the pin will be blocked

with  the  appropriate  split  pin  (3  fig.7);  use  the  adjustment

tie-rod (4 fig.8) to kepp the equipment parallel to the ground.

Connect the third upper point so that the connecting point of

the equipment is higher than that of the tractor (Fig.9), also

during operation.

3.1.2 DETACHMENT OF THE EQUIPMENT

ATTENTION

-  Parking the machine is a very dangerous operation, for this

reason, it shall be done by one operator only.

- Be very careful to carry out the whole operation following

the instructions.

-  Do not remain in the area of action of the equipment.

-  Do not stand on the machine and on the rear rollers. Perform

all of the operations from the outside.

The operation should be carried out on a solid, horizontal surface,

following the instructions given below:

-

Lower the tractor lifting unit and rest the equipment on the ground.

-  Disconnect the hydraulic pipes from the tractor distributors and

protect the quick couplings with the caps.

-  Loosen and unhook the third point, following the first and second.

3.1.3 DRIFT

If, after adjusting the equipment as shown in section 3.1.1 point

3), you feel the presence of a slight side skid of the equipment,

it can be corrected as follows.

If, looking at the equipment from the back it:

- side skids to the right, the first rank of disk sinks deeper into

the ground than the second rank, it is necessary to lengthen the

adjusting tie rod (4 Fig. 8) of the third point, until the machine

works in axis with respect to the center of the tractor.

-  side skids to the left, the second rank of discs sinks deeper into

the  ground  than  the  first  rank,  it  is  necessary  to  shorten  the

adjusting tie rod (4 Fig. 8) of the third point, until the machine

works in axis with respect to the center of the tractor.
