Section 5. PCI Interface Functional Overview
The GT-64260A supports two 64-bit PCI interfaces, compliant with the PCI specification, Rev. 2.2. Each PCI inter-
face can be individually configured to a 32- or 64-bit configuration.
The GT-64260A PCI0 interface supports ComactPCI Hot Swap. For more information on the CompactPCI Hot-
Swap feature, see the GT-64260A datasheet’s "Hot Swap" section.
Notes
•
When the PCI interfaces are in the reset state, all output pins are in tri-state condition and all open
drain pins are floated.
•
If not using the GT-64260A in a hot-swap board, the REQ64* pin must be connected to 64EN*.
•
For pin and connection information, see the GT-64260A datasheet’s "Hot Swap" section.
5.1
P2P Capability
The GT-64260A supports memory Dual Address Cycle (DAC) and Single Address Cycle (SAC), IO, and configu-
ration transactions from one PCI interface to the other PCI interface. The figure below describes a typical P2P sys-
tem configuration.
