Problem 7

Crawlers will not travel in either direction (one or both tracks).

POSSIBLE CAUSES

Brake valve is damaged; Control handle is worn; Pump EDC is damaged; No voltage 

from handle to controller; No voltage out of controller to pump EDC; Node fault; Low 

brake pressure; Wiring or switch is faulty; Pump, motor or gearbox is damaged.

CHECKS

Does TRACK screen BRAKE display 1 when problem handle is moved in problem direction? Does 

DOS item on TRACK screen show a binary number or total to indicate a problem with right pump (1), 

left pump (2), brake (4), or motor (8)?

Yes

Engine loads when moving problem handle in either direction?

No

Yes

Is 24 volts present at travel brake solenoid W74-
H, when problem handle is moved? (See 
Section 3 - Checking Electrical Inputs/Outputs).

No

 Is 24 volts present at brake switch?

Move switch 
to off position.

Repair or replace wiring or switch.

 

Consult dealer/factory. 

When moving problem handle fully in both directions, does TRACK screen 
read 0.5 to 2.4 volts in reverse or 2.6 to 4.5 volts in forward direction?

directions, does TRACK screen approach 
100% pump control in each direction?

Is voltage at problem handle greater 
than 0 with handle moved? (See Section
