CHANGE
Or this operation, we recommend that you use the MANITOU hydraulic jack,
reference 505507, and the MANITOU safety stand, reference 554772.
- Stop the lifting platform, if possible, on a firm, horizontal surface.
- Proceed to stop the lifting platform (see: 1 – SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS AND
ADVICE: INSTRUCTIONS FOR DRIVING WHEN UNLADEN AND LADEN).
- Wedge the lifting platform in both directions on the axle opposite the wheel to be
changed.
- Unscrew the wheel nuts on the wheel to be changed until they can be removed
without much effort.
- Place the jack under the axle carrier, as close as possible to the wheel and adjust
the jack (Fig. G2/1).
- Lift the wheel until it separates slightly from the ground and set the safety stand
under the axle (Fig. G2/2).
The weight of one wheel is 210Kg.
- Unscrew the wheel nuts completely and remove them.
- Release the wheel by moving it to and fro and roll it to one side.
- Slip the new wheel onto the hub.
- Screw on the wheel nuts by hand; grease them, if necessary.
- Remove the safety stand and lower the lifting platform by means of the jack.
- Tighten the wheel nuts with a torque wrench (see: 3 - MAINTENANCE: B - EVERY
250 HOURS OF OPERATION for the tightening torque).
