FRONT SUSPENSION BUSH - CHECK
Refer illustration shown below for direction of fitment of voided bush; in case
it is removed.
Inspection of front suspension bush is recommended at every 40000kms.
Upper arm is fitted with voided bush on both sides.
Lower arm is fitted with voided bush at its rear end.
Ensure that while fitting the voided type bush on arms, the solid rubber
portion on Bush should be parallel to the Arm.
Front Suspension Bush – Check
Refer illustrations shown; check points are shown by arrows.
1.
Check lower control arm front and rear bush condition (both LH & RH) for wear & tear,
cracks & shift. Replace if necessary.
2.
Check upper control arm front and rear bush condition (both LH & RH) for wear & tear,
cracks & shift. Replace if necessary.
3.
Check the ball joint boots for damage, cracks. Replace if necessary.
4.
Check Shock Absorber Bushes, dust boot & Stabiliser Bar Links and Bush for wear &
tear, cracks and shift. Replace if necessary.
Observe following conditions even after wheel alignment –
(a)
Problem in vehicle ride and handling.
(b)
Noise from suspension joints even after specified joint torque values.
Steering Knuckle &
Rotor Assy.
Lower Control Arm Assy.
Shock Absorber Assy.
Upper Control Arm Assy.
