Crawler Crane
4.3 MOMENT LIMITER (OVERLOAD PREVENTION DEVICE)
5/2020 CC1908S-1
4-29
OVERLOAD
ALARM
A. Safe area ("Actual load" is less than 90 % of
"Rated total load".)
The working status lamp illuminates in green.
B. Prediction alarm ("Actual load" is between
90 % and less than 100 % of "Rated total
load".)
The working status lamp illuminates in yellow.
The alarm emits an intermittent "peep" sound.
C. Limit alarm ("Actual load" is greater than or
equal to 100 % of "Rated total load".)
The working status lamp illuminates in red.
The alarm emits a continuous "peep"
sound.
Operations to move the boom toward
danger stop automatically.
When the load factor is 110 % or more, the
"Load factor 110%" LED (red) turns on.
D. Cancelling the limit alarm overload
When overload occurs, immediately operate
the crane to recover from the overload.
For details on the recovery operations, refer
to "4.3.3.2 RECOVERY OPERATION AFTER
OVERLOAD" on P. 4-22.
OVERWINDING
PREVENTION
DEVICE
IMPORTANT
When hoisting the hook, be careful of the
clearance between the hook and boom.
Extending the boom raises the hook.
Always check the hook height while extending
the boom.
If the hook is overwound while hoisting the hook or
extending the boom:
• The hook on the monitor display will flash in red.
• The alarm emits an intermittent "peep" sound
while the hook is being hoisted or the boom
extended.
• Hook hoisting and boom extension stops
automatically.
When an automatic stop occurs, immediately
recover from the stop (by lowering the hook or
retracting the boom).
To recover, lower the hook or retract the boom.
OVER
UN-WINDING
PREVENTION DEVICE
If the hook is lowered too far or there is little wire
rope remaining on the winch drum:
• The winch on the monitor display will flash in
red.
• The alarm emits an intermittent "peep" sound
while the hook is being lowered.
• Hook lowering stops automatically.
When an automatic stop occurs, immediately
recover from the stop (by hoisting the hook).
