[7] Radiator fin, oil cooler fin and A/C
condenser fin cleaning/inspection
WARNING
There is a risk of personal injury if
compressed air, pressurized water, or steam
directly contacts your body or scatters dust.
Wear goggles, a dust mask, and other
protective equipment.
IMPORTANT
When using compressed air or high-pressure
water, make sure the pressure does not
exceed 0.19 MPa to avoid damage to the fins.
Spray compressed air onto the core as
perpendicularly as possible. Damage to the
fins will cause water leakage or overheating.
At dusty worksites, conduct the daily
inspection regardless of the specified
servicing interval.
1.
Open the right cover and the machinery
cover.
2.
Remove the five butterfly screws, and
remove the three nets.
3.
Inspect the front and back sides of the
radiator fins (1), oil cooler fins (2), and A/C
condenser fins (3). If any dirt, dust, or leaves
are adhering to them, blow them off using
compressed air.
Steam or water may be used instead of
compressed air.
However, when using powerful steam
cleaning (such as a high-pressure car
washer) on the heat-exchanger (radiator,
oil cooler, and A/C condenser), keep a
sufficient distance for cleaning. Using
steam cleaning (high-pressure car
washing) from an extremely short
distance may cause deformation of the
internal fins of the heat-exchanger,
resulting in early clogging or other
damage.
4.
Check rubber hoses and replace those that
are cracked or brittle. Also check the hose
clamps for any loosening.
5.
After completing the inspection and cleaning,
reattach the three nets in their original
positions, and close the right cover and the
machinery cover.
