MOUNTING AND STOWING
WARNING
• We recommend mounting or stowing the fly
jib using two persons. They must fully
understand the work details and use the
designated signals while working. If the
proper signals are not used, there is a risk
of serious accident from coming into
contact with moving parts.
• Make sure you read and fully understand
the procedures described in the instruction
manual before mounting or stowing the fly
jib.
• Be sure to use the fly jib remote controller
to mount and stow the fly jib, and do not
operate from the cab. Do not use the fly jib
remote controller for any other operations.
• Stop the engine before connecting electrical
wiring and hydraulic equipment.
Otherwise, there is a risk of malfunction of
the electrical wiring or hydraulic equipment,
causing unexpected operations or serious
accidents.
• Mount and stow the fly jib on firm level
ground. Otherwise, the fly jib may rotate
under its own weight, resulting in a serious
accident.
• Mounting and stowing the fly jib should be
conducted on a stable work platform of
sufficient height. If an unstable work
platform is used, personnel may fall from a
height, resulting in a serious accident.
• When mounting or stowing the fly jib, make
sure the main boom is in the horizontal
position first. Otherwise, the fly jib may
rotate under its own weight, resulting in a
serious accident.
• Never work on top of the crawler tracks.
• Do not work below the fly jib.
• Hold on to the handles while working, and
do not insert your fingers into the pin holes.
• The single-fall hook, nylon sling, and lever
block should be stored in the optional tool
box when not in use.
• Do not use the nylon sling and lever block
provided with the fly jib for hoisting loads.
• Take care not to trip and fall on the fly jib
remote controller cable when climbing onto
the work platform or when moving on the
work platform.
• Take care not allow the fly jib remote
controller cable or nylon sling to become
entrapped when operating the fly jib.
• Be sure to insert the position pin in the
correct location from above and secure with
the linchpin L.
